HeroClix is a captivating miniatures game that employs the Clix system, focusing on the realm of superhero comic books, particularly the DC Comics and Marvel Comics universes. This immersive game allows players to engage with iconic characters such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Captain Marvel, Teen Titans, Spider-Man, the Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, the Mighty Thor, and numerous others. The HeroClix game makes use of the combat dial system. This system involves a rotating dial in the base of each figure, which helps to monitor the figure's game statistics. When the figure takes damage, the dial is rotated a specific number of clicks to display updated stats and potentially special abilities. The initial HeroClix figures exclusively featured characters from Marvel Comics' comic books. However, the game later broadened its scope to include sets from DC Comics as well as independent comic book publishers like Image Comics and Dark Horse Comics. Subsequent expansions introduced innovative card-based mechanics like Feats and Battlefield Conditions, thereby expanding the game's horizons beyond the mere introduction of new characters.
