The Sons of the Emperor Return: New Heroes and Combat Patrols for Five First Founding Chapters

The galaxy burns, and the Emperor’s finest rise once more to answer the call. With recent fanfare surrounding the Space Wolves and the long-awaited return of the Black Templars, the spotlight now shifts to five more iconic First Founding Chapters. Each one brings a stunning new character miniature, free rules support, and a thematic Combat Patrol to match. From the molten wrath of Nocturne to the lightning-fast fury of Chogoris, these releases are a bold step forward for the Adeptus Astartes.

Salamanders – Vulkan He’stan, the Forgefather Reforged

The indomitable Forgefather of the Salamanders returns in a reimagined miniature, clad in ornate battleplate and wielding three of the fabled nine relics of Vulkan. Vulkan He’stan is more than a battlefield commander — he is a living crusader on a sacred mission to reunite the artifacts of his Primarch.

  • Key Wargear:

    • Spear of Vulkan

    • Gauntlet of the Forge

    • Kesare’s Mantle

On the tabletop, He’stan empowers nearby flame and melta units and boasts a formidable 4+ Feel No Pain when holding an objective. This is also the first time his scarred visage is revealed—a testament to the decades, perhaps centuries, of trials endured on his sacred quest.

Imperial Fists – Darnath Lysander, Fist of Dorn

A towering icon of Imperial resilience, Captain Darnath Lysander returns with a refreshed Terminator model that honors his classic design. Clad in ornate Cataphractii-pattern armor and wielding the thunderous Fist of Dorn, he leads Imperial Fist Terminators from the front lines with peerless precision.

Lost in the warp for over a millennium, Lysander emerged unchanged — a paragon of unbreakable loyalty and battle-tested might. His massive storm shield and iron halo have been resculpted with exquisite detail, adding a new level of gravitas to this already legendary hero.

Raven Guard – Aethon Shaan, The Shadow’s Successor

Chapter Master Aethon Shaan takes the reins of the Raven Guard after Kayvaan Shrike stepped aside, recognizing in Shaan a purer embodiment of Corax’s teachings. Aethon Shaan brings brutal pragmatism and unmatched tactical acumen, as seen in his battles against Chaos in The Chapter’s Due.

The miniature brims with avian motifs—feathers, talons, and bird-skull motifs dominate his armor—enhancing his shadowy, predatory aura. With three head options (helmeted, hooded, and bare-headed), you can tailor his appearance to fit your Chapter’s narrative.

Iron Hands – Caanok Var, Iron Captain of Clan Avernii

Caanok Var is a walking engine of war, perhaps more machine than man. This Iron Captain leads Clan Avernii, the most heavily augmented warriors among the Iron Hands. Rumors claim only one organic part of Var remains—his left eye.

Augmented with battlefield-linked data-tethers and armored with ancient tech, Var calculates and executes deadly strategies in real-time. If numbers fail, he resorts to raw strength with his imposing power tetsubo, smashing foes with brutal efficiency.

White Scars – Suboden Khan, Spearpoint Unleashed

Blazing into battle atop a grav-bike, Suboden Khan exemplifies the speed and precision of the White Scars. Formerly commander of the Fifth Company, he now leads the elite Spearpoint Brotherhood, wielding a power lance and commanding sector-wide assaults with brilliant strategy.

His grav-bike mounts a devastating onslaught gatling cannon, giving him serious firepower as he pierces enemy lines at high velocity. His new miniature evokes the Chapter’s Mongolian-inspired aesthetic with a dynamic pose and sweeping armor flourishes.
