Tone Pro is built around tones: each colour comes in five, numbered from darkest (1) to lightest (5), so picking your shade and highlight is easy.
How to use it
- Basecoat with a middle tone (2 or 3) of Scinari Blue.
- Shade recesses one or two tones darker, or thin a tone with Shading Medium for a wash or glaze.
- Highlight raised edges one or two tones lighter. A drybrush makes this quick on fur, armour and bases.
FAQ
Do I need all five tones?
No. Three tones (dark, mid, light) give you a shade, a base and a highlight. Add the others for smoother blends.
Which drybrush goes with it?
The Warhammer Pro Tone Drybrushes (X-Small to Large) were released alongside the range.
