Games Workshop just announced Warhammer Tone Pro — a complete paint system built around one idea: make getting exceptional results faster and simpler, no matter your skill level or technique.

Release update (October 5): Games Workshop's latest preview says Tone Pro pre-orders open the week of October 5. We'll link the full range here the moment it's live — sign up below to get the alert.

Thirty Colours, Five Tones, One Paint for Everything

Warhammer Tone Pro is built on 30 base colours, each available in 5 tones numbered from darkest (1) to lightest (5). That's 150 paints total, organized so you can identify highlights and shades at a glance and layer with confidence.

The formulation works across every technique — basecoats, highlights, shading, glazes, drybrushing — without switching products, and it self-levels for smooth finishes straight from the pot. Add the new Shading Medium to thin the pigment without changing how the paint flows, turning any Tone Pro colour into a custom shade or glaze. Use the Blending Medium to extend drying time and blend colours seamlessly.

New dry brushes with curved tips and tight bristles round out the range for smoother drybrushing.

Vivid Pigmentation, Even in Yellow and White

Tone Pro delivers exceptional coverage — and that includes notoriously difficult colours like yellow and white.

Vibrant pigmentation means brilliant whites, electrifying yellows, scintillating magentas, intense reds, and everything in between. These are Games Workshop's brightest, boldest paints yet.

Why This Matters

If you've ever struggled with thin coverage on bright colours, spent time mixing custom shades, or wanted a paint that works for glazing and drybrushing without switching formulas, Tone Pro was designed for you.

The tone numbering system makes colour theory approachable — no guessing which shade to use for highlights or shadows. The mediums let you customize every paint in the range. And the coverage means fewer coats, faster results, bolder colour.

Whether you're painting your first Space Marine or your five-hundredth, Tone Pro is built to get you there faster.
