Free & Official Warhammer Academy: Free Hobby Education |
Games Workshop just launched Warhammer Academy — a completely free video library built for people who are new to the hobby. It's the resource we've wished existed for years, and it's the first thing we now send to anyone who says "I'm curious, but where do I even begin?"
The Academy launches with 150+ videos on Warhammer 40,000 (perfectly timed with the new edition), with Age of Sigmar content coming soon after. Everything is organized into three tracks:
|
Why this matters The Academy handles the "What is this hobby, and how do I do it?" part—for free, at your own pace, before you spend a dollar. Watch a few videos, then come talk to us about which box actually fits what you watched. |

Our Take
If you're on the fence, here's the honest order we'd recommend: watch a few Warhammer Academy videos this week so you know what you're getting into, then walk in and grab whichever box matches how you actually want to start—a full tabletop game (Starter Set), budget entry with exclusive models (Introductory Set), a specific faction to build toward (Getting Started sets), or just a low-stakes first paint job (the small bundles). Every one of these is in stock now for pre-order ahead of the July 25 release.
