How it plays
Monster Trail adds depth to almost every part of The Witcher: Old World: trailing and fighting monsters, building your deck and combos, using bombs, taking mutagens and adding special cards to your starting deck.
It includes a playable School of the Manticore witcher, advanced action cards, and 17 large monster cards, one for each Old World beast. Each card gives that monster an advanced special ability and four special attacks tied to how it behaves in the Witcher world. When a monster appears, its large card goes next to the board where everyone can see it.
Four Special Combat Cards also get shuffled into a monster's life pool before a fight (2, 3 or 4 depending on its level), so a battle with a hulking Werewolf feels very different from one with a Foglet hiding in the mist, and no two fights with the same monster play out the same way.
