The Witcher: Old World (TWOW01)
The Witcher: Old World is a board game from Go On Board for 1–5 players, playing in 90–120 minutes, recommended for ages 14+.
How it plays
The Witcher: Old World takes you back to the Continent years before Geralt's story, when monsters roamed in far greater numbers and five rival witcher schools trained their students to hunt them. You play a newly trained witcher heading out across a big map to take on quests, track monsters, make tough moral choices and, now and then, brawl with a rival witcher to defend your school's honor.
Your witcher grows through deck-building. You choose attacks, dodges and witcher Signs (combat magic) to add to your deck, then chain cards together into combos that lean on your school's signature style. Quests, fights and even rounds of dice poker earn you coin, new items and better skills as you race to become the mightiest witcher on the Continent.
It's a competitive game for 2 to 5 players, and it includes a solo mode for a one-witcher adventure.
