Drybrushing is the fastest way to pick out raised detail like fur, chainmail, armour edges and rocky bases. A dedicated drybrush with a rounded tip keeps the effect smooth and even.
How to use it
- Load the brush, then wipe almost all of the paint off on a paper towel until it leaves only a faint dusting.
- Flick it lightly back and forth across the model so the paint catches only the raised edges.
- Build up in light passes. With Warhammer Tone Pro, step up one or two tone numbers each pass (1 is the darkest tone, 5 the lightest).

Which size should I pick?
X-Small and Small for characters and fine raised detail, Medium for infantry and bases, Large for big models, vehicles and terrain.
How do I keep it in shape?
Rinse it as soon as you finish and reshape the bristles before they dry. Drybrushing is hard on bristles, so keep this brush for drybrushing only.
