Saga Help Tip
Contrast paints are designed to give you colour and shading in a single coat when you paint them over a light undercoat.
How to use it
- Start with a light undercoat such as white, pale grey or bone.
- Apply one smooth coat per area and let it settle without brushing back over it while wet.
- If a colour looks too strong, thin it with Contrast Medium rather than water.
FAQ
What undercoat works best with Contrast?
A light one. White, pale grey or bone-coloured undercoats let the paint shade properly.
Can I thin Contrast paint with water?
It is better to use Contrast Medium, which thins the colour while keeping the shading effect.
