Konami's next core booster set is here, and it's bringing DARK Machine support that's been a long time coming. Maze of Machines releases March 19, 2027, and pre-orders are open now at Saga Concepts.
This 153-card set introduces a new wave of DARK Machine monsters built around the classic Barrel Dragon archetype, plus support for Cubic, Marincess, and Ghostrick themes. You'll also find 10 new Yu-Gi-Oh! GX cards, extended art treatments for fan favorites like Summoned Skull, and 10 chibi variant art Secret Rares.
Each booster box contains 24 packs with 7 cards per pack—6 Rares and 1 Foil. The set includes 6 Secret Rares, 14 Ultra Rares, 21 Super Rares, and 100 Rares, with 15 cards also available as Collector's Rares.

DARK Machine Catalog
The star of Maze of Machines is a suite of new DARK Machine monsters built around the Barrel Dragon legacy. Rampant Barrel Dragon is a Level 8 Fusion Monster with 3000 ATK that flips three coins for devastating Quick Effects: add any card from your Deck (Alpha Barrel), destroy enemy cards equal to heads (Beta Barrel), or steal a card from your opponent's Graveyard (Omega Barrel).
Pendulum Machine of Misery triggers when a card is destroyed by a DARK Machine—Special Summon it from hand, destroy an opponent's monster, and when it's destroyed, Special Summon another DARK Machine from your Deck. Slot Machine 777 is immune to destruction by attacks (in Attack Position) or effects (in Defense Position), searches "Heavy Metal" Spells, and gains permanent ATK/DEF boosts.
The "Heavy Metal" Spell/Trap lineup includes Heavy Metal Bandit (protects your DARK Machines from targeting/destruction and searches high-ATK/DEF DARK Machines) and Heavy Metal Revenge (revives a monster destroyed by a DARK Machine effect every turn, from either Graveyard, under your control).
Cubic, Marincess & Ghostrick Return
Three fan-favorite themes are getting contemporary support. Marincess and Ghostrick haven't seen new cards in four years, and Maze of Machines brings them back with updated toolkits for today's meta.
Cubic support celebrates the 10th anniversary of Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions, giving the archetype new options to complement its existing lineup.
10 New Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Cards
Maze of Machines includes 10 new cards from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, timed to the release of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TAG FORCE GX video game. The lineup includes Elemental HERO Clay Guardsman (from Jaden's duel against Aster Phoenix) and a new variant art Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder, available exclusively as a Starlight Rare.

This set also brings extended art versions of 7 classic cards—including brand-new art for Summoned Skull—and 10 chibi variant art Secret Rares (Contrast HERO Chaos, Mecha Phantom Beast Dracossack, Fire King High Avatar Garunix, Bujintei Susanowo, and more). Chibi Secret Rares replace a Super Rare in the pack and are an additional Secret Rare, not one of the set's 6 standard Secret Rares. |
