Konami announced Immortal Phoenix for a January 28, 2027 release. This 100-card core booster brings Marik's Shadow Realm arsenal back from the ashes with 10 new Sun God cards built around The Winged Dragon of Ra, reimagined Salamangreat support for FIRE Cyberse builds, and the next Winter Raven chapter in the Sinful Spoils storyline—plus the world premiere Celestigard Xyz theme.

The headline: The Winged Dragon of Ra, Sun God of Darkness—the first DIVINE Extra Deck monster in the game, unaffected by all other card effects, with Quick Effect removal powered by Sun God discards. Pair it with The Immortal Sun God Quick-Play Spell for recursion loops that pull Helpoemer, Makyura, Gil Garth, and Viser Des back from the Graveyard every End Phase.

Salamangreat players get King of Beasts, Risen from the Valley of Flames (a Link-3 Heatleo retrain that turns everything into FIRE) and The Salamangreat Shrine Field Spell. Winter Raven expands with Diabellze, Heiress of the Winter Raven's Forest, two new Level 5 Synchros (Zaltys and Aitvaras), and cards that hide monsters in the Spell & Trap Zone.

Marik's Monsters, Reimagined

The Sun God theme centers on The Immortal Sun God, a Quick-Play Spell that Summons Winged Dragon of Ra monsters or discards Sun God cards to bounce itself back to hand. The payoff: if it hits the Graveyard during any turn—for any reason—you return up to four Sun God monsters (Helpoemer, Makyura, Gil Garth, Viser Des) from Graveyard to hand during the End Phase.

All four of Marik's signature torture monsters return with modern effects tied to the Sun God strategy. The headline Fusion: The Winged Dragon of Ra, Sun God of Darkness, the first DIVINE Divine-Beast Extra Deck monster. It's unaffected by all other card effects and lets you discard Sun God cards as a Quick Effect to eliminate opposing monsters. Since it counts as both a Winged Dragon of Ra card and a Sun God card, it works with support for either archetype.

Lava Golem, Steelcage of the Sun God keeps the original's best trick—you can use two face-up monsters anywhere on the field as Fusion Materials—and it can Summon itself from the Extra Deck without Polymerization.

King of Beasts, Risen from the Valley of Flames

Salamangreat gets a Link-3 boss monster retrain and a Field Spell that locks out opposing FIRE effects. King of Beasts, Risen from the Valley of Flames is always treated as Salamangreat Heatleo, turns every monster on the field into FIRE attribute, and shuffles an opponent's card into the Deck as a Quick Effect when you Reincarnation Link Summon it.

The Salamangreat Shrine Field Spell allows Reincarnation Link Summons, protects your Salamangreat monsters from opponent's FIRE monster effects (which is everything once King of Beasts resolves), and lets you shuffle Salamangreat cards from hand into the Deck to draw replacements.

Two new Main Deck monsters round out the support: Salamangreat Markhor (searches Salamangreat Spell/Traps and Summons a FIRE Cyberse from Deck when used as Link Material) and Salamangreat Bastella (easy Summon, interferes with Level-dependent plays, grabs a Trap when it leaves).

Return to The White Forest

The Sinful Spoils storyline continues in the Winter Raven's deep forest realm. Diabellze, Heiress of the Winter Raven's Forest returns up to as many cards on the field to hand as you control Spells & Traps—and she can hide your monsters in the Spell & Trap Zone first to crank that number up.

Deep Forest of the Winter Raven is a Field Spell that searches a Winter Raven monster on activation, protects all your Winter Raven monsters from destruction by card effects, and Sets a Winter Raven Trap from Deck or Graveyard every turn.

The knight monsters hide in your Spell & Trap Zones and resurrect at key moments. Mart summons two Winter Raven monsters from Deck when you hide him, then brings a hidden monster back into battle when an attack is declared. Anu Special Summons from hand by revealing itself or by hiding another monster. Sinful Spoils of the Winter Raven's Forest hides monsters from either the field or Graveyard—yours come back via Winter Raven effects; your opponent's stay lost.

Two new Level 5 Synchros—Zaltys, Knight of the Winter Raven and Aitvaras, Knight of the Winter Raven—each trigger effects when Summoned and when sent to the Graveyard.

Celestigard Xyz Theme

Celestigard is a new Xyz archetype built around planetary alignments. The gimmick: Celestigards can only be used as Xyz Material for Xyz Summons that use 3 or more materials—but any Celestigard makes all the other Xyz Materials in that Summon match its Level.

Immortal Phoenix includes Level 2, 3, 5, and 8 Celestigards, each with different effects and ways to Special Summon three of them at once.

The boss: Celestigard Star-Eclipsing Aetos Dios, a Rank 5 that destroys all opposing monsters when Summoned and lets you draw 2 cards if your opponent Synchro, Xyz, or Link Summons.
