Everything Coming to Magic in 2027

Six new releases, three worlds to explore, and a globe-spanning MagicCon tour. Here's the full 2027 slate—and how to plan your year with us at Saga.

The 2027 Release Calendar at a Glance

Magic: The Gathering 2027 release timeline

The full year, mapped out. Read on for what each release brings.

Few things get a game table buzzing like a fresh year of Magic on the horizon—and 2027 is a big one. Wizards has revealed the full calendar, and it's got something for every kind of player: a brand-new world to explore, the long-awaited return of two fan-favorite planes, and three Universes Beyond crossovers still kept under wraps.

Whether you're a Commander regular, a Draft night die-hard, or someone who just loves cracking a booster with friends, this is your roadmap for the year. We've laid it all out below—the sets, the release dates, and the MagicCon events worth marking on your calendar. Let's dig in.

The Main Sets

Three New Worlds to Explore

Wizards has revealed the setting and story behind each of the three 2027 in-universe Magic sets—so here's where we're headed. Even better: all three are up for pre-order at Saga right now. Reserve your boxes below — full card spoilers and mechanics land closer to each release.

Nauctis: The Sunken Realm
Releases February 5, 2027

Nauctis: The Sunken Realm

Standard Set — Magic kicks off the year beneath the waves. Picture an endless ocean, vast cities sprawling across the sea floor, and gods that command the currents as they swim alongside their followers. Merfolk, homarids, and warring undersea kingdoms set the stage for a brand-new plane — a gorgeous, uncharted world to open the year.

Kamigawa: Titanbreach
Releases June 4, 2027

Kamigawa: Titanbreach

Standard Set — A Return — Kamigawa is back, and it's under siege. When an Omenpath tears open above the neon-lit skyline of Towashi, a massive chunk of Ikoria comes crashing through—unleashing mayhem. The plane's next-generation mechs suddenly find themselves squaring off against Ikoria's colossal behemoths. Kaiju versus mechs on Magic's most stylish plane? Sign us up.

Zhalfir

Standard Set — A Return — Long teased and finally here: the kingdom of Zhalfir has reentered the Multiverse as a plane all its own. Expect a lush afrofantasy world vibrant with magic—and the return of Teferi Akosa. For lore fans, this is one of Magic's most-requested returns, delivered at last.

The Crossovers

Three Universes Beyond Mysteries

Between the main sets, 2027 has three Universes Beyond releases—the crossover line that brings worlds beyond Magic into the game. The partners for all three haven't been announced yet, so for now the dates are the fun part. We'll share each reveal the moment it drops.
