Character models are usually the most detailed miniatures in an army and the centre of attention on the table, so they reward a little extra time.
Getting started
- Dry-fit parts before gluing, especially wings, cloaks and weapons, to check the pose and gaps.
- Paint in sub-assemblies where you can, and keep the model off its base until it is finished.
- Spend your time on the face and the focal points. Use a Shade for depth and Layer paints for fine edge highlights.
