Tabletop Wargaming for the Whole Family
Warhammer Meets Play-Doh:
Meet Necromolds
A real tabletop wargame — army-building, tactics, territory control — built entirely out of clay. This is the game that finally brings your family to the table.
You love Warhammer. The army building, the tactics, the satisfaction of a well-placed charge. But convincing your kids, your partner, or that friend who "doesn't really do miniature games" to sit down and play? That's a whole other battle.
Necromolds was built for exactly this moment. It's a fully fledged tabletop wargame—you mold your armies, command them across a battle map, and manage ranges, abilities, and objectives—but instead of plastic sprues and hobby glue, your miniatures are made of Spell Clay. Think Play-Doh with spellbooks. And when you defeat an enemy unit, you smash them flat with your fist using a caster ring.
Dice Tower called it a "Seal of Excellence." Questing Beast said, "Kids absolutely love it, and all the adults I played with loved it too." We're bringing it to Saga because we think it belongs here.
How a Game of Necromolds Works
|
🧱
1. Mold Your Army
Press Spell Clay into your spellbooks to summon monsters. Bigger monsters cost more clay — every game starts with a fresh army you shape yourself. |
🎲
2. Command the Battle
Roll command dice and assign them to your units each round—move, shoot, or fight. Manage your army, react to your opponent, and control objectives. |
👊
3. Smash Your Enemies
Defeated enemies get smashed into the board with your Caster Ring—turning them into beetles, spiders, and obstacles your opponent has to navigate around. |
The Battle Box — Start Here
Core Game · 2 Players · Ages 9+ · ~60 Min
Warhammer player tip: You can air-dry your clay minis after each game and paint them. It's a genuinely fun way to introduce younger players to miniature painting—no clippers, no glue, and no primer required.
Call to Arms — Go Deeper
Expansion · Adds Champions, Artifacts & Advanced Rules

Once you've got the base game down, Call to Arms is where Necromolds opens up. You get Champion units with their own boards, artifacts that reshape battles, soul cards, wound markers, and a graveyard terrain set. This is the expansion for the Warhammer-brained player in the group — the one who wants resource management, build variety, and meaningful decisions every round. What Call to Arms Adds

Why We're Bringing This to Saga
We're a store built around community—people who love games, who want to share that love, and who are always looking for the next reason to get around a table together. Necromolds is one of the best answers to the question, "What can I play with someone who's never touched a wargame before?"
There's no modeling required. You open the box and play. The tactile joy of squishing clay into a monster, rolling dice, and smashing your opponent's army flat is something genuinely hard to replicate—and something that translates immediately whether you're 9 or 45.
We'll have more details soon on availability and what we'll be stocking. If you want to get notified the moment Necromolds lands at Saga, let us know in-store or ask the team.
