CATAN – New Energies is a modern evolution of the classic CATAN experience, introducing real-world environmental challenges into the beloved gameplay formula. Set in a near-future world, players expand their cities and networks by producing and distributing energy but must carefully manage the environmental impact of fossil fuels and the benefits of renewable resources.
While players build roads, settlements, and power networks just like in the original CATAN, they also face global consequences through a shared emissions track. If emissions rise too quickly, all players suffer setbacks. Balancing progress with sustainability adds a compelling new layer of strategy and collaboration.
