Big news out of New York Comic Con: Wizards of the Coast revealed Magic: The Gathering | Marvel: Darkhold Destiny, landing April 9, 2027.

This one is different from the Marvel sets you’ve opened so far. Wizards and Marvel built an original story set in the Marvel Universe. The secrets of the Darkhold are unsealed, and the story hops between dimensions into the Dark Dimension and Marvel’s pantheon of gods. Think devils, sorcerers, werewolves, vampires and witches.

If you loved cracking Marvel Super Heroes or Marvel’s Spider-Man, this is the spooky, spell-slinging next chapter.

Who’s stepping into the dark?

The heroes

Doctor Strange and Thor lead the charge. Ghost Rider, Moon Knight and Blade, the darker heroes who sat out the earlier Marvel sets, take the spotlight. Magik (Illyana Rasputin) rides her stepping disks between realms.

The threats

Hela, Mistress of Darkness, brings the chaos, with Gargantos, the Endbringer, along for the ride. At the center of it all sits The Darkhold itself, a legendary artifact card.
