Games Workshop · July 2026 Exodites Leap From the Jungle The dinosaur-riding Aeldari finally get models in a new Kill Team box—plus fresh 40,000 terrain, six kits breaking out of Kill Team, Horus Heresy reinforcements, and new Black Library reads. |
It finally happened. After years of being a fan-favorite footnote in Aeldari lore, the Exodites—the elves who left the doomed craftworlds behind to tame wild saurian mounts on untamed maiden worlds—are getting actual models. And they arrive riding exactly what you'd hope. Because, really: who doesn't love dinosaurs?
That's the headline of this week's Sunday Preview, but it's a genuinely big week across the board—new Kill Teams, a wave of kits graduating into full 40,000 armies, fresh terrain, Horus Heresy reinforcements, and new novels. Here's everything landing this week and what we're watching for once pre-orders open.

Warhammer 40,000 · Kill Team Kill Team: Exodite |
|
What's in the box Five elite Exodite operatives — three Dragon Masters and two Drakolithes — face off against a warband of ten Beast Snagga Boyz and five Squighog Boyz. The box includes 88 datacards, a transfer sheet, a token sheet, and narrative missions in the Kill Team: Exodite Dossier. "Lead a kill team of Exodite Dragon Masters to victory by mastering their fast and durable mounts and making up for your limited numbers with supreme martial skill." |
|
Why this matters Exodites have lived almost entirely in the lore for decades—the Aeldari who traded the Webway for wide-open worlds and mounts the size of tanks. Seeing them as real, buildable plastic is a genuine "finally" moment, and a Kill Team box is the perfect low-commitment way in. Whether you play Kill Team or just want the coolest dinosaur cavalry on the shelf, this is the one people will be talking about. |

Our Take
The Exodites are the story this week, full stop—a decades-old wish granted and a perfect excuse to put dinosaur-riding elves on your table. But there's real depth behind the headline: six Kill Team kits graduating into full army units is a quiet win for anyone building an Astra Militarum, Kroot, or Arbites force, and the new terrain plus MkIV reinforcements round out a strong all-around week.
A couple of notes: GW has teased an Ork reveal for Monday, so the Beast Snaggas in that Exodite box may not be the last we hear from the greenskins this week. And a heads-up for any customers overseas — some of this wave is noted as delayed in Australia and New Zealand.
Nothing here has pricing or an exact pre-order date from GW yet in this preview—the wave releases next week, and pre-orders typically open first. We'll be watching for exact SKUs and updating this post the moment they go live.
Your local Warhammer HQ Shop current Warhammer now, and we'll have this whole wave the moment pre-orders open.
