If you've read Matt Dinniman's Dungeon Crawler Carl books, you know the pitch: Earth gets eaten by an intergalactic reality show where the dungeon floors get weirder, the loot boxes are cursed, and the System AI is a sarcastic god with a sponsorship deal. It's absurd, deadly, and somehow the funniest apocalypse in science fiction.
Renegade Game Studios turned that chaos into a playable tabletop experience — an RPG where you crawl floors, bribe goblins, and argue with the DM-as-System, plus a board game where you race other crawlers to the exit while everything explodes. The System, the Loot, and the Absurdity
The Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG treats the dungeon like a live game show. The GM is the System AI — omniscient, sarcastic, dropping loot boxes and "special events" that are always traps. Players are crawlers trying to survive floors that shift from haunted parking garage to sentient mall to goblin-run DMV. The rulebook leans into the chaos: there are tables for cursed vending machines, sponsor perks that backfire, and NPCs who are very aware they're on camera.
The Unstoppable board game is the other side of the coin: a competitive race where 2–4 crawlers try to reach the exit while the dungeon collapses behind them. You'll fight mobs, grab loot, and screw over your friends — exactly like the books. The expansions add new floors, new enemies, and new ways to die on stream.
Both games nail the tone: deadly but never grim, tactical but never dry. If your table loves unpredictable dungeons, dark humor, and loot that's equal parts reward and liability, this is the line.

HOW TO GET STARTED
Pick Your Crawler, Grab the Dice, Roll for ChaosIf you're running the RPG and the Core Rulebook isn't here yet, grab the GM Screen and a dice set — the Smush dice are in stock, or browse the full vault for something that fits your crawler's vibe. The screen has the tables you need to improvise a floor crawl, and the dice are thematic enough to sell the bit. When the rulebook lands, you'll be ready. If you want the board game experience, the Unstoppable base game is incoming — but the Iron Tangle and Crawler Chaos expansions are here now. Pair them with the base game once it arrives, or grab them early if you're a completionist. Miniatures Set 3 (Mobs of Mordecai) is in stock; Sets 1 & 2 are on the way. If you paint, you know the drill — pick them up before the next restock cycle. |
